cool, kinda too fast for me tho

you should try making a game like this for the playdate! 2 color screen, small res, big power.

question: how did you make this? ik it was unity, but how did you adapt a 3d envirment to these constraints

Thanks! Only one question...what is "playdate"? XD

Anyway, i developed this game with Unity 2019 and i builted a custom script to just move the snake around the sphere. All the other stuff is just well placed elements and some 3D modelling...

play.date :)

Oh it looks awesome!
Unfortunately i can't affor the Devkit so it's a little bit off range for me...but it looks a very interesting device! If i could i would develop on it!

Forcing the player to wait until they can restart seems to be a theme in your games. I personally hate it. On the other hand forcing players to lose some adrenaline can also be good.

Not for me though *ragingly throws game against wall* (not actually raging but that's what I would feel if I got hooked :D)

Ahahah, to be honest i think 5 seconds of pause between from one try to another may help the player to be more "efficient" and not make mistakes because of adrenaline and desire to finish the level...

But not everybody is like that, right? Your observation is right and i should allow fast-paced players to restart the level ASAP.

Thanks for this observation, i will keep it in mind in my next games :)

just don’t die :)

Excellent!

Great controls, however, could make the world 10 or 5 times bigger, change the game icon and leave it in full screen.

In fact the world was something like 3 times bigger, but it was too big pratically decreasing the challenge of the gameplay...so for now that's all!
BUT, for the resolution and the icon...why not? :) thanks for the comment!

The controls feel nice! Great Job!

this is just art

Wow.

my god. so genius work

This would defiantly win if the viewport was bigger

Done!

Great game, although my neck now hurts from leaning into my monitor to see the game. Look into upsizing the game window. (Yes it can be done)

Done!

I think itch allows you to set a checkbox for allowing fullscreen also? no?

Yes, but is not in the scope for this game...if you want to play the fullscreen version you can download the game!
For the web version, i wanted to respect the resolution cap asked by the Nokia 3310 game jam...
